Absolute truth

Doesn’t seem like there’s much of it out there anymore. Interesting, eye-opening and sobering article from the Jesus-loving, cat-hating (he’s gotta have one bad quality, I guess), Dare 2 Share leading, Greg Stier. Check it out here. Cat-hating notwithstanding, he writes truth… absolutely.

Good websites! I too believe truth is hard to come by today. I have recently devoted a new blog to the simple truths. http://ponderingtruth.wordpress.com

Interesting quotation from one of the “friends”:

“He has been raised with this since day one, which is why religion and good works are such a key part of his life.”

As opposed to, say, “He has been raised since day one to believe the Bible alone is the sole rule of faith for a Christian, which is why Sola Scriptura and individual interpretations of scripture are such a key part of his life.”

The whole “Ryan the Religious” article was a not-so-veiled attack on the Catholic Church, and could easily have been called “Sammy the Straw Man” since it only shows a ridiculous, simplistic parody of what the Church teaches.

Anyway, thanks for the fun read. It was a reminder of why I thank God that I’m not in the blind spiritual wasteland that is Protestantism…

I’m not certain who Random is directing this response to. If it is to my comment and website I do not follow the comment. Please clarify.
