And the snake said:

So Miss Fancy Attorney-Pants (FAP) sent this e-mail this morning, in response to My Hubby’s e-mail to her this weekend notifying her of ED’s non-payment:

****************************

The Egg Donor (ED) indicated that she paid by entering you in as a bill pay and that you should be receiving a check. The transaction number is as follows:

05/09/2008        Online Payment 123456789 To My Hubby        $711.81

****************************

So she can type some numbers. Did she misunderstand AGAIN how EFT works? I can’t stand her. I really can’t… or her fancy attorney.

Snake.

What bull. I know you are incredibly frustrated. Don’t worry, she’ll get her due in court.

If she DID happen to add you as a bill pay it’ll delay the process. When I sent my friend a check this way it took her over 5 days to receive payment. EFT would’ve been RIGHT AWAY, and she very well knew that (and so did Ms. Fancypants) because you explained it ad nauseum.

I don’t actually believe that she did it, anyway. More ammo for you guys.

Want to take bets on how long that check takes to actually arrive?

My bet is the 2nd Saturday after never.

There is no misunderstanding on either ED’s part or her attorney’s.

It is pure jacka**ism…plain and simple.

I pay all of my bills online.

You can “pay” a bill—which gives you a confirmation number and then cancel said bill before it is sent.

    I don’t think you’ll get the money.

For most of my life, I have wanted to be an attorney. The reason I never became one is because of the large percentage of them that are despicable human beings. I can’t stand how they twist everything. An EFT is an EFT—it is entirely different than online bill payment.

On a side note: isn’t it amazing that ED can navigate a bank website well enough to do online bill payment but can’t seem to manage to open a PDF? It reminds me so very much of our BM who “didn’t have” certain phone numbers—ones she had called several times a day (like Husband’s parents when they were living there), but could find where we lived without us giving her any directions.

It such an interesting facet of their personality disorder….

    Stephanie,
She reminds me of Scott Peck’s book, “People of the Lie”. If you aren’t familiar with the book, Peck is a psychiatrist who is not afraid to call this kind of behavior, “Evil”. I believe that you would recognize ED quite readily in this book.
I agree that she is a snake, as well as her new attorney.
    You are in my prayers…

Are you kidding me?!? I mean, seriously, are you EFFIN’ KIDDING ME?!?

I agree with the other comments, I think she’s going to stop payment on it, and claim some kind of bank “error” thus bringing the BANK now into the mess.

At court, go AFTER her with a vengence.

Daisy said: “At court, go AFTER her with a vengence.”

I couldn’t agree more. Go after her with every piece of ammunition you have in your bunker!

I can go online and enter a bill pay transaction and cancel it before it is sent out. She’s not stupid, she’s just freakin’ evil. And she’s out to make every stinking thing she does as painful and tedious as she possibly can…for everyone.

well, I have been wondering how she would twist her way out of this one. I mean….. I knew she would but HOW she would was the big question. So now we know. Technology has given her yet another loophole. She should have just been forced to drive across town to deliver a certified check, at her inconvenience.

did she tell you WHAT bill payer and where the check was mailed?

She cannot show (verifiably) that the funds were actually drafted from her account, which she can’t ’cause they weren’t. Just make sure your hubby asks her to provide documentation of the 711.83 withdrawl from her account- that the money actually left it.

When she can’t, she will probably insist someone else is at fault but who would expect anything less from her?

As frustrating as it is, doesn’t it also seem like ED is feeding herself more rope to string about her neck, and her idiot lawyer is simply postponing the inevitable hanging?

Did you call the bank to confirm this supposed transaction?

Oh this woman is so aggravating. Her excuse makes no sense. I think the attorney should provide proof that the funds were paid through “bill pay.” What a load of crock!
